The meaning of each item 寓意

1 Tea Set 敬茶 茶具Used in the tea ceremony (敬茶), when the couple serve tea to thank and honour their parents and elders.

1 Bowl Set 汤圆 对碗For serving sweet tang yuan (汤圆), a wish for a sweet, complete and united family (团圆).

1 Red Umbrella 结婚红伞Held over the bride as she leaves home, to shelter her and bring good luck into her new life.

1 Laced Hand Fan 扇子 开枝散叶A wish for the new family to grow and flourish, like branches spreading out (开枝散叶).

1 Bride’s Red Packets Set (Son-In-Law, Sugarcane, Happiness Chicken Red Packets) 女方红包套装 女婿礼金，甘蔗礼金（幸福美满），带路鸡礼金（一路平安）Son-in-law, sugarcane (幸福美满, a sweet life) and happiness chicken (一路平安, a safe journey) red packets.

2 Pairs of Chopsticks 成双成对 筷子筷子 sounds like 快子 (children soon), and coming in pairs means always together (成双成对).

2 Charcoal, blessing the Groom good fortune 旺炭 四季常乐Blesses the groom’s family with thriving fortune and happiness all year round (四季常乐).

  • Our team will contact you within 2 working days to confirm your dialect group and fix your pickup or delivery date.
  • Please allow a 1-week lead time for the package, and 14 days for add-on items.
  • Every package comes with a free 30-minute virtual consultation on your Guo Da Li, bed-setting and tea ceremony preparations. A S$10 booking deposit secures your slot and is returned as a S$10 voucher (minimum spend S$80). See our consultation terms.

  1. All items must be delivered to a single location.
  2. Package designs are fixed and cannot be customised or modified, except for the upgrade options listed below.
  3. The tea set can be changed or upgraded at $10.
  4. Images are for illustration purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly.
  5. Add-on items require a minimum lead time of 14 days.

Does this suit my dialect group?
Yes. Items are prepared for your dialect group (Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka, Hainanese or Teochew), and our team confirms the details with you after purchase.

Who prepares the dowry?
The bride’s family. It is brought to the groom’s home on the wedding day, or returned during Guo Da Li, depending on your family’s custom.

Can I change the items?
